Bottecchia EMME 5 marks the beginning of a new era. The legacy of a great history that gathers 25 years of experience in the world of racing.

And it is precisely Bottecchia EMME 5, the latest creation from Bottecchia, that this year celebrates the anniversary of Ottavio Bottecchia's first victory at the Tour de France in 1924, the year in which Ottavio was the first Italian to win the Tour and to wear the yellow jersey from the first to the last stage.

One hundred years later, Bottecchia Cicli celebrates this invaluable ethical and cultural heritage with a Limited Edition of 100 pieces: Bottecchia EMME 5 CENTENARIO.

TOTAL INTEGRATION
The complete integration of the wiring into the 1 1/2” steering and fork ensures high aerodynamic efficiency. The fork is in fact perfectly integrated with the frame at an aerodynamic level to improve performance in terms of rideability.

STIFFER BUT LIGHTER
Horizontal tube with increased section in the area near the steering to increase torsional rigidity. The differentiated development of the oblique tube section instead improves aerodynamics and increases rigidity in the steering and BB area without weighing down on weight.

PROFESSIONAL SEAT POST
Dedicated carbon seatpost with drop section to improve aerodynamic performance. Setback reduced to 15mm for a more competitive position on the saddle. Seatpost clamp integrated inside the horizontal tube with fixing from the lower side, for greater cleanliness and better fixing.

ALL IN ONE PIECE
New design for the rear triangle, designed in a single structure – all in one piece, which allows to eliminate the dispersion of power in the transmission of the cyclist's torque, and thanks to the responsive geometry, to maximize the reactivity and precision of the ride.

ONE RR FULL CARBON INTEGRATED
ONE RR full carbon fold integrated with custom Centenario paintwork.

The stem and handlebar are integrated into a single structure that guarantees maximum cable integration, with a clear advantage in terms of rigidity, comfort and world-class aerodynamics.

100 YEARS
This Limited Edition celebrates the centenary with the depiction of the Bottecchia Centenary Logo on the down tube, and with Ottavio’s famous phrase “Perseverai. Resistetti. Above all I wanted” on the horizontal tube. Details that tell a story that has become legend.

TECHNOLOGIES RACING DEPARTMENT
More aerodynamic and lighter, EMME 5 has an extraordinary weight-stiffness ratio, the best ever achieved before. More 5% of aerodynamic efficiency and – 8% of frameset weight compared to the previous EMME 4.
This improvement was achieved thanks to a particular study of the carbon layup applied to the Monolith production technology, which allows for the creation of a true monocoque by eliminating the joint points and obtaining a perfect distribution of the carbon fibres along the entire frame.
The complete integration of the wiring into the headset and fork also ensures high aerodynamic efficiency, also optimised by the differentiated development of the down tube section and the dedicated carbon seat post with drop section.
The rear triangle design is also brand new – ALL IN ONE PIECE, designed for perfect transmission of forces from the bottom bracket to the rear wheel axle. Wheel clearance increased up to 32 mm.
