Shimano EP801 RS motor: power and precision
At the heart of the Orbea Rise 2025 is the engine Shimano EP801 RS, developed in collaboration with Orbea to offer natural and powerful assistance. With a maximum torque of 85 Nm and the new generation RS firmware, the Rise guarantees a smooth and natural pedaling, adapting perfectly to the needs of the cyclist.
The RS and RS+ riding modes are fully adjustable via theShimano E-Tube app, allowing you to personalize assistance depending on the route and individual preferences.
Customizable battery for every need
This is where the new Orbea Rise doubles. The Rise 2025 offers two battery options to meet different autonomy and weight needs:
- 420 Wh battery: ideal for those looking for a light and easy to handle mountain bike. Perfect for shorter rides or for those who want an agile and easy to maneuver bike;
- 630 Wh battery: designed for those who need more autonomy, this battery is perfect for longer and more demanding adventures. Despite the increase in weight, the Rise 2025 maintains excellent handling thanks to its balanced design and the new features introduced.
Additionally, a Range Extenders 210 Wh which offers greater autonomy, allowing you to tackle up to 3,000 meters of altitude difference on a single charge. This small device, weighing just 1.1kg, can be easily transported and used when needed, making the Rise 2025 even more versatile and customizable.
Two versions for two types of adventure
Speaking of customization, Orbea has introduced two versions of the fork for the Rise 2025, in order to adapt to different riding needs:
- there Rise LT: equipped with a 160 mm Fox 36 fork and 150 mm of rear travel, it is ideal for the most technical and demanding trails;
- there Rise SL: Equipped with a 140mm Fox 34 fork and 140mm of rear travel, it's perfect for smoother, less demanding trails.
Both versions are configurable via the program MyO by Orbea, allowing cyclists to customize their bike based on the route they intend to travel, as well as their own preferences.
Driving impressions
During initial testing, the Orbea Rise 2025 impressed with its ability to combine power and lightness. The LT version, with more travel, demonstrated excellent push and progression uphill and great ability to tackle obstacles downhill. The ability to adjust the steering angle by 0.5° and lower the BB drop by 8 millimeters via the Flip Chip on the Link allows you to adapt the bike's configuration during the excursion, further improving the riding experience.
Availability
Carbon versions of the Orbea Rise 2025, including the M10, M Team and MLTD, are available for purchase now. The alloy versions and the carbon M20 will be available starting July 2nd.
